When using the netlist flow, a communication link is established between EXOSTIV Dashboard and Vivado. This link is used to query the netlist loaded in Vivado for nodes and clock when configuring EXOSTIV IP – and later to control Vivado to insert EXOSTIV IP in the target netlist.

For for some (old) version of Vivado and some PC configurations, we have experienced a slow response from Vivado to commands sent with EXOSTIV Dashboard.
The ‘Vivado link timeout’ setting can be changed in case of problems to adjust a timeout defined in EXOSTIV Dashboard. This timeout parameter is used to avoid EXOSTIV Dashboard lockup in case Vivado has become unresponsive.
